Shortly after graduating from the animal health technology program at Thompson Rivers University, Jamie moved to Sooke to work as a RVT. She moved back to the Cowichan Valley when a position at Prevost became available and has been a member of the family since 2016. In 2021, Jamie followed her passion for surgery and joined the surgical team at WAVES in Langford and still splits her time between the 2 clinics. Jamie and her husband currently live in the valley with their cat and 2 dogs. In her spare time, Jamie enjoys kayaking, hiking, and baking.
